Bought this and followed instructions to the letter. What a waste of money. Loose caps and lost fillings is definitely what you end up with even after using this stuff. I applied as instructed, just before I went to bed in the night and the texture was so soft when I applied it. It was like soft playdough. They said to bite on it and rub the teeth back and forth but most of it just rubbed off all over the other teeth.

In the morning, a big chunk came off just like that. By the time I ate my breakfast, most of it had come off while eating. I didn’t have to chew on that side but this stuff is so soft and poor quality, you don’t have to really do anything for it to come off. Too bad. It’s such a good idea to have a product like this but unfortunatley, manufacturers don’t think of quality. I would not recommend Dentemp.

Dentemp is obviously not intended to replace the dentist but rather to serve as an emergency assist until you can see one. Keep that in mind, and you’ll likely be happier with the product and more forgiving of it’s negative points. Like very messy to install into a tooth – unless you have a straight forward loss of filling or something similar. And unless you have someone to help, it’s probably going to be very difficult to see what you’re doing. You’ll end up with lots of little pieces of the Dentemp in your mouth when done. It’s a two part mix, powder and liquid and getting the consistency right is a challenge, at least the first time out. A missing filling should be easy to fill and keep the Dentemp confined but if you have a tooth with a broken piece, or a crown that’s come loose you’ll find it difficult to get the cement where you need it and keep it there until it cures. Once set, it is a fairly sturdy repair for a few days max. Then you’ll start to find small pieces of the Dentemp in your mouth and eventually it will all come out. You can eat on it, but not just anything you want. My experience is you should try to stay away from most things other than soft food on the filled tooth. See your dentist at the earliest convenience; this is NOT a long term fix.

I bought this based on the only good review. The product does not harden at all, it stays in a greasy paste like zinc oxide diaper rash cream and it stinks to high heaven. I mixed exactly per directions several days ago and it still is soft. The one good review this product got had to have been a mistake.

I emailed the company the day I tried it and still have not received a reply.

  4. I choose this product because of the great reviews, but I am sorry this product did not work for me at all. Did not stay in or hold. Cannot recommend this product.

I had to replace my 98 year old mothers crowns. This is the only stuff that works and keeps working. All the other stuff is garbage.
